Personally I would opt for a conduit of some sort for the wire to the
rollover structure for your overhead light.  It would be better to allow
the wire some movement than to lock it into the structure by glassing it in
permanently... with it glassed in there is the possibility of it breaking
should the canopy flex in some direction that puts a stress on the wire.
If that happens there's no way to fix it short of digging the wire out and
starting over.  You could use 1/4" Versatube (3003 AL) from ACS for the
conduit and glass it into the structure without much trouble at all... at
least you wouldn't have to worry about stressing those wires.
