Are you using the GM10 overcenter torsion springs?
If you are check the following.
1. With the GM3 seperated make sure that the spring has some compression. The uncompressed position should be 4 to 8 oclock. It should have a bit of pressure when it is at the 10 oclock lock position.
2 With the cylinder disconnected check how much force is required to break the overcenter. Again it should take some force.
If the above looks good your problem is in the hydralic system and or its attachment to the overcenter.
