He enlarged the trim tab and got into flutter, so be careful about balance if you go that route. I have Dick Reichel's mechanical pitch trim wheel, which attaches to the original Lancair system with heavier springs and larger throw. Works perfectly and I can trim throughout all speed and cg ranges. I highly recommend that simple, reliable system.
