Ron,
I know you were asking George but I also had a question. I'm just installing and modifying the baffling on my engine. On the "dog house" over the flat spot on #2 it appears the top is open inside the oil cooler box. Is that so? When the oil cooler door is closed are you concerned that the air might find an easier path out through the oil cooler rather than back around the lower section of the cooling fins? Was there some reason you left it open?
I'm intending on making a box that is closed top and bottom, making it independent of the air flow inside the oil cooler box. This is how Pat Brunner modified his IVP and he's getting good results now. (Pat's plane was the "before" IVP in Ada).
I'm also awaiting Georges response to closing the bottom and sides of the lower baffling. I was going to make new ones that closed the bottom and sides but it does look like a fair amount of work so... Pain (and work) avoiding, pleasure seeking creature that I am.
