The transition to the new glass has its challenges.  I was flying my ES on its first long trip to Sun N' Fun last year when ATC asked my position....

 

Hmmm....  I can't tell him I'm 146 miles west of OKC, hmmmmm, where am I?  I bought myself a little time, felt like an idiot.  I ended up using the nearest function on the CNX 80, switched to the nearest VOR and got a radial and distance.  Whew!

 

A lot of the basics we learned back in the old days, require us break old habits today.

 

We need to learn how to use the new boxes and screens.  It may take me a while to really know my panel inside and out.
