 Can somebody educate me a bit on the rules with respect to  when a 25 hour
fly – off period is permitted verses a 40 hour fly-off period?
 
For example,  if the engine installed in the experimental airplane is NOT a
certified engine,  then is a 40 hour fly-off required, or can you negotiated
down for a 25 hour fly-off period ?

 Any help would be greatly appreciated.
