Many thanks to those folks who helped out with
this problem. The solution was simple. The flap handle was just
slightly cracked out of the neutral detent. Wasnt obvious because we
were outside plane adjusting nose gear doors
Must have gotten considerable air into the
system as it took several cycles for the pump to return to normal
operation; i.e., the first pump operation held pressure (approx 1100 PSI)
for 5 minutes. Second cycle held for 8 minutes, third for 15
minutes...Now it holds pressure for several days.
