 I made a posting some time ago concerning the microair VHF comm and the
Collins VHF comm. Since having replaced my old Collins unit and the audio
panel with a Garmin VHF and 340 audio panel the microair works perfectly.
 
 As I suspected it was a bad install and old radio/audio that were causing the
"perceived"  problem with the operation of the Microair rather then any
inherent problem with the radio itself.
