I have 996 hours on my engine and the exhausts have no cracks. My exhausts
are only supported by the exhaust bolts. There are no clamps. At the back end
of the pipes I have put a hose clamp over some asbestos. A picture follows.
By the way, by "asbestos", I mean "Heat-proof Tape" as can be seen at:
