I am glad to hear that I am not crazy and this is a tough thing to see.  I
did sand the seams that look like peel ply, and so far I have not seen
anything.  The burn method mentioned earlier did not produce anything.  I
tried it on a known piece of peel ply and found that it more or less "goo's
up" into something obviously foreign.

Any other suggestions out there?
