Just to add to what Mike Easley is saying - I took
Delivery of my kit well after Mike and at the same time as Bryan Burr. My
incidence measurements are almost identical to Mike's. At the wing
root, I am off .8 degrees, at the wing tips - almost 2.0 degrees. I have
also had conversations with Tim Ong about these measurements. There is no
doubt in my mind that the factory jig is off - or the production in the
Phillipines is off - either way it is frustrating. Go figure - the
guys who have built their own from scratch with plywood jigs in a
garage have straighter wings than the guys that have paid for
the use of the factory supplied jigs. And we paid a premium for the
fast build kit and for the use of the Lancair jigs and shop. I am
sure that once I am flying, the ecentrics bushing trick will work as it has for
others - then I will go and redo all of the bodywork at the wing roots.
Blah. So much for the "fastbuild"!
