Hi Listers

In a very early state of my building of a 360 I got a test ride in one of the company (or employee) 320/360 planes at Sun-n-Fun, because I wanted to know how this plane behaved. I asked the owner how high we were allowed to go in this area. He asked what I wanted. I would like to go to 6000' to make some stall tests. He told me in a very relaxed manner that I could make my stall test where we were in 2600, that should cause no problem. I thought he want to come down in one piece so I reduced the power while maintaining altitude with the stick. I am not a high-time pilot, but I had no problems keeping the wings level. There were a slight buffet at a time, but not much. The plane (this specific creature) was very stable, and the owner had to point out to me that we were stalled as the VSI showed some -800 fpm, and he jokingly said I could chose to lower the nose - it felt like 45 degrees up, but was presumably only 20 - or just open the throttle and it would fly with that pitch angle. Very stable plane in a complete stall, no frills at all. Spin is another story I would not try - even with a qualified instructor besides me - below 10000'.
