I have often removed the forward deck while still attached to the canopy. The forward deck is held in place with the "hinge pin" attachment method. When I built the canopy hinge attach points, the hinges were held in proper orientation by cutting a tube and... Oh, I am tired - call me at my cell (630-561-0400, CDT) and ask for the prisoner with the biggest BUNK.
