As most of you know, I've been assisting Ted Noel with his Eagle540-powered Lancair IVP for the past few years (whew!).... We recently moved the airplane to the airport and have started pre-flight-test assembly.  When it was time to rig the elevators I found that the trim tab was moving far beyond the recommended travel (I think the manual called for 7/8" up and down).  Ted also has the 6A Mac servo.  I drew up the system in AutoCAD to see what it would take to achieve proper travel, found that a switch to the 4A servo would cover it, but we chose a different approach...  I fabricated a new bracket with a longer arm (hinge c/l to pushrod attach point was extended 1/2" to 1.375") as well as a solid aluminum pushrod.  The original nylon pushrod ends had to be shortened so much that we only had 5-6 threads of the connecting rod engaging them.... I figured a solid pushrod would be a better option.  We still have slightly more than 1" travel in each direction, but we didn't have to purchase a new servo or make any other drastic changes.  The servo now travels to its limits and the indicator works properly as well.  I know that there are some (LIV) elevator trim tabs out there that are a different size, and so our fix may not be appropriate for all aircraft.  Anyway, a photo of the assembly is attached for your perusal.... enjoy!
