Experimental Aircraft Systems is please to announce the First Day of AirVenture 2004 that the Advanced Sequenced Door System Kits are currently available for purchase and pick up at the Show.

This ends our special introductory offer and we are very pleased to announce that Lancair - Kit Components International is now the Exclusive Distributor of the  Advanced Sequenced Door System Kits.

Please see Lancair - KCI for Pricing and availability. They do have stock on hand at OSH for you to take home, however they are going FAST so order early!

Experimental Aircraft Systems will be attending the Lancair Banquet and will be happy to field questions.

The  Advanced Sequenced Door System does not just simply close the inboard doors, but rather it adds the necessary components to safely and reliably “sequence” the landing gear. By avoiding cheap fixes, Experimental Aircraft Systems has engineered a system that controls the landing gear struts as well as the inboard landing gear doors. Through a network of position sensing switches, reliable non-microprocessor/PLC based micro-circuitry, and solenoid controlled hydraulic valves,  it is impossible to damage a gear door or bind the system in the up position.  Stuck valves, “dead-zones”, and disrupted timing are all a thing of the past because our solenoid valves will not allow a landing gear strut to move unless system logic indicates that the inboard landing gear door is in the fully open position. The best part about this system is that it does not require any modification to the original Lancair Emergency Extension System! No additional procedural steps to remember in an emergency.  No added components. The modification kit retains the original foot print in the under seat area. However, by using individual valves in conjunction with a modular system philosophy, the EAS Advanced Sequencing Door System is more easily adapted to completed kits or to those whose owners have already “modified the space available.”

Jeffrey Skiba
