Great cross country flyers. If you can get a 360 you will have more room.  The 235s are cramped. It is the same wing configuration but a larger fuselage and of course the 320 or 360 powerplant. They cruise between 170 and 200 knots true depending upon HP and extra goodies and weight. Look for a fully loaded panel  360 under 1220 lbs basic empty weight. Less if panel is lighter. Anything heavier than the plane construction is not optimal. A 235 is like getting into a Cessna 150 or 152. After flying the Skylane you might want the extra room.
 
Pay extra attention to how the airframe is constructed and be sure all builders logs and foto journal are adequate for you to retrace construction history and component locations.
