This is going to get an "I told you so" from
Gary Edwards but I'm kind of perplexed (but I haven't spent any time
investigating the reason yet) I commented to Gary last year about the bubble in
teh nose gear door stating that I didn't have one on mine. He said he didn't
know of a 235 with the oleo strut that didn't require it. Well, I though I had
achieved something special as I had manually raised my nose gear and my door
shut completely without the bubble in it. But-----now that I have jacked the
plane up and run the system up and down to get all the air out, under power, the
nose gear doesn't go up as far and the door won't close all the way!!!! It hits
the tire. I'm planning on investigating to see why the difference but it looks
like I, too, will have the bubble! I also noticed that if you have too much air
in the main tires, that the tires will hit the inner gear door
brackets.
