Wendell had purchased a stormscope and was scheduled to have it
installed the week after his untimely demise.  He was a solid pilot who
respected the weather, but did not have anything on board to help him
out.  In his other airplane (Cessna Centurion) Wendell did have a
stormscope and always avoided weather.

The only reason he had not yet had his stormscope installed was his
desire to move to WSI, but he had no room in his panel for an MFD.  He
learned that he could display the stormscope data on his Garmin 430 and
therefore scheduled an install date.  We all know he didn't make that
