Jim,

I believe the rudder cable system is nearly identical between the Legacy and 320.  On my 320 I have the adjustable pedals on the pilot side and no pedals on the passenger side.  When I first installed the cables I was extremely disappointed with the amount of friction to move the rudder.  I had even gone to the extent of caking the cables with powdered teflon as has been described on the LML.

The solution was that the springs on the adjustable pedals that hold forward tension on the pedal arms were too strong.  Apparently, Lancair recognized this at some point in the past and Vern had new springs in stock.  A quick swap of the spring and the problem was solved.  I'm now very happy with the low friction in my rudder system.
