For Marshall Michaelian:
Here is a photo of my overhead.  The black handled switch controls the two eyeball lights on the front of the panel that shine down on the inst panel.  This switch has a little red light in the tip of the handle since it is very easy to overlook  and leave the lights on.   The 6 eyeball vents are for the A/C.    The little switch that controls the cabin lights in the forward position turns the forward overhead light on;  in the rear position, it turns on both lights.  As I mentioned before, the lights are home depot undercounter lights and are very reasonablly priced and simple to install.  Also I have included two photos of my cabin windows which show an alternate solution to window frames.  Two rows of stitching around the window cutouts and the window frame problem goes away.
Another KISS solution.

Happy Building - Bill Hogarty.
