Greg,
Some
are using glass lens, and others are placing in the wing with wing lenses.
If your application is using the in the wing type, then the heat
will dissapate during flight, however when taxiing, I reccomend a small air
blower to circulate the air.

those who are mounting their MR16's on the gear leg, you may want to look at

haven't seen this holder, but it has a glass cover and will accept any MR16
bulb.
