X-Sender-Ip: 162.40.45.248 Organization: Lycos Mail (http://www.mail.lycos.com:80) Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Language: en Content-Length: 1675 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit At the skillful hands of Mike Mahar and Rob Logan, Legacy N589SF took to the beautiful skies on Tuesday morning! After 3 years, 1 month and 5 days, kit #108 made 4 flights that revealed very few bugs - a credit to the generous and experienced help from Rob and Mike over the last 8 months. In the end it was, in fact, worth all of the days spent working in 100+ degree Oklahoma summers and bitter cold Ohio winters. It was a day that my young, impatient mind never thought would come. Thanks to all who helped along the way. Buz McAbery, Al Williams, Jared Smart, Kosuke Imamura, Rob Logan, Mike Mahar, and all the guys at Lancair for believing that even a young guy like me could accomplish something as awesome as this. I just can't express how great it feels. And thanks again to Rob. You guys all need to know how great this guy is. He unselfishly poured countless hours into this plane, took pictures and posted them on the web, took me flying in Tweety, etc, etc. Rob's a cool dude. Mike and Rob will be flying off the test hours for us in Cleveland, and when Mikey has taught dad all the ins and outs of flying it, we will move it home to Newark-Heath Airport (VTA). Oh, and the cool paint scheme? Yeah that was mom's contribution, and I think it rules. So thanks again to everyone for their support along the way. It's been fun so far, and the fun has just begun! Aaron May Legacy N589SF 100% COMPLETE! (Well, as complete as it needs to be to fly, anyway!) ____________________________________________________________ Get advanced SPAM filtering on Webmail or POP Mail ...
