Although the following is not a = direct=20 comparison, I think it is a good indicator.

I have a dozen fishing rods that = were=20 manufactured between 1950 and 1954.  They are made of fiberglass = epoxy=20 prepreg by Narmco Inc. in Costa Mesa, CA (Conolon fishing rods).  I = have=20 used a fly rod and a spinning rod regularly for 50 years.  The = only=20 "degradation" in my collection is the rod I stepped on, and the one I = closed in=20 a car door -- the rest still look and perform as new.

I know, I know, cold cure is = different than=20 thermocure prepreg -- but I submit not all that different.  I will = bet=20 there are a lot of 1950s Glaspar (also Costa Mesa, CA) = fiberglass=20 fishing boats and car bodies still in use.  These were made using = glass=20 mat, glass cloth and cold cure resin.
