One thing the local FSDO required for the 337 Field Approval was a pull test that loaded each anchor point to about 400 lbs, if my memory is correct. That is A LOT of pull friends! If the seat back is beefed up to hold 800 lbs plus the anchor point reinforcements we could be talking about A LOT of added weight too. That assumes the load test for composites is the same as aluminum. I like the convenience of not having the harnesses in the way but maybe the stock system should be considered for it's merits of lighter weight and pre-engineering. I am adding Rear Window Access, Boarding Steps, 2 Axis Auto Pilot, etc. - - - - it all adds up.
