Marv,
As you know Dave Morss and I raced our planes at Reno this year. The
results were almost as good as it gets. I took 2nd in Gold just a few feet
behind Daryl in his Legacy. Dave " Mr. Sandbag award winner" Morss did a
great job with 1st in Silver. On the last two laps of the race we spooled
up the Supercharger to 3,000 RPM and 46" of boost. Our last Two laps were
around 340MPH. Cylinder temps of 320 Deg. EGT of 1350 Deg and Oil temp of
170 Deg. Dave Cronin also flew a Supercharged Glasair III and took the
fastest race speed for any Glasair. Last year he was last in the Silver,
this year Fifth in the Gold. Not bad for a completely stock Glassair III.
Below are some flight test numbers Dave made Today using an MT prop. He is
going to do the same test with a Hartzell prop in a few weeks. I'll let you
all know the results.

the following tests were done on consecutive days with the supercharger
in place belt on then belt off. the elbow was removed for belt off
allowing air from the upper plenum for induction and the alternator was
disconnected during belt off tests. temps and baro were within a few
percent each day.Im cheap so all fuel flows were as lean of peak as was
smooth. Speed ground speed on gps then computed for winds and true speed.
normally aspirated supercharged
