     If it's a Lycoming, they recommend to check the prop flange runout on any prop strike, and in the accessories case, to magnaflux the drive attach bolt commonly called the "Jesus bolt".. A magnaflux job on both the bolt and associated gears gives much peace of mind, small $ to do, big job opening the case.  Another fix is the gear switch with a detent so you have to pull the switch lever out to move it up or down.  Vern has them...   Sorry for your misfortune..been there    Don Skeele  A&P 320J
