This is the same edge as all the com ports = and power plug. It also has a fan that forces cooling air through that port. Since the laptop's screen will be turned off, most of the heat will be generated by the processor alone. My hope is that it will stay cool = enough if I leave the case open so that the port is always uncovered. We'll = see. The magnets in the bottom of the gps mouse and wxworx antenna can be = removed by pealing back the backing material and prying them out. You don't have = to open the case to get rid of them.
