Roberto:
I concede that I am a very lucky person; first just to be here, and second; to have a plane to repair.
Maybe you can help on the following problem: There are two areas on the plane where they put a floor jack and tried to lift the plane. The result was that they broke thru the carbon fiber, honeycomb and all. It wasnt a clean break though. The result is that I have two holes in the plane , each roughly in the shape of a semicirccle, with the broken piece still there.. I need to know if it would be better to cut out the damaged area and scarf in a completely new piece of carbonfiber/honeycomb material. Or should I just clean up the damaged area and press it back in place, using flox/micro, then cover the area with several layers of carbon on each side.
I am also sending a copy of this post to the lancair/list; hoping someone there has encountered a similar problem. Appreciate your help.
Regards, Bill Hogarty
