Hi all...

Sorry I've been a little quiet lately, things have been a little hectic, as
I've been in Vegas for the last several days (98% work, 2% fun), and just got
back to Florida last night.  I've dug out of the emails, got my bags mostly
packed, and am heading to Oshkosh as soon as I get these announcements taken
care of.

First of all, the Lancair Builders & Fliers Forum is taking place on Friday
(8/1) afternoon, from 4:00 to 5:15 PM in Forums Plaza, Pavilion #5.  That's the
ASO.com (Aircraft Shopper Online) pavilion, located at the northwest corner of
the plaza.  I've attached the forum map, you'll find the ASO pavilion in the
lower left hand corner.  We're going to have quite a few interesting speakers
once again, discussing Legacy stuff, flight safety, props, electronics,
building practices, powerplant considerations, as well as input from the
factory.  Don't worry if you don't see your model mentioned in my little list,
everyone's Lancair interests will be represented so there's going to be
something there for everyone.  Be sure to attend, it's going to be very
enlightening.

Next is the Lancair Banquet.  It's happening at 6:30PM on Saturday (8/2)
evening, from 6:30 PM until....  It is once again being held at the Oshkosh
Hilton, right there on the north end of the field.  Tickets are $20/person and
will be available at the Lancair kit factory tent at mid-field.  Anyone from
the factory will be able to get your name on the list and provide you with your
tickets.  There are always lots of nice door prizes and, most importantly, the
camaraderie of your fellow builders and fliers.  Be there or be square.

Shortly after Airventure the factory will once again be throwing their Annual
Labor Day fly-in at home base in Redmond.  It will be held on Saturday (8/30)
and Sunday (8/31), starting around 9:00 AM both days.  Saturday is the open
house and barbecue, Sunday will be the race.  This is probably the largest
gathering of Lancairs to happen each year, and if you've never attended you
don't know what you're missing.  More details will follow, as soon as Kim gets
back and recovers from Oshkosh.  Watch this space <G>.

I'm going to be at Airventure the entire week, working with Jom Frantz once
again, in the Angle-of-Attack booth in Exhibitor Hangar "B".  We're in booth
2114 (see map at http://www.airventure.org/2003/exhibitors/hangar_b.pdf) and
I'm looking forward to meeting up with as many of you there as possible.
Please stop by and say hello when you have a chance.  Of course, I'll also be
at both the Forum and the Banquet, so we should be able to hook up one way or
another.  I hope to see you there.
