The challenge in laying out the ideal airbox is I only have slightly more than an inch clearance between the throttle body inlet face and the bottom of the cowl (actually the chin bubble or whatever it's called). The airbox I have now seems pretty optimal for the situation, although it uses a flat filter at the downstream end of the inlet duct where the duct is transitioning from round to rectangular. Removing the filter (foam) gives me about a .3 or .4 boost in MAP at 3000', WOT, 2700 RPM, 190 KIAS. Next time I have the cowl off (sometime between now and OSH) I'll get some pix of my set-up for you. Lee
