The brand is M-D. It is labeled as automotive and marine weather-stripping. It comes in several different shapes and dimensions. The stuff I am using is black, has a "D" cross section and is 1/4" tall uncompressed. I'm using it for the front and side seals. I prepped the surfaces with MEK and stuck the strip on using the peel'n'stick adhesive it comes with. After 50 hours and probably 100 cycles of opening and closing the canopy, it is still stuck tight and has not taken a set (i.e. it still returns to its original shape when the canopy is opened). Even if it only lasts a year it's a heck of a deal, as it is less than 50 cents a foot. The rear seal is the original Lancair D material, grey in color, that has been in service for 10 years/500 hours and is still stuck like white on rice. It has lost most of its flexibility but still seems to seal just fine. =20 Lee "Moondog" Metcalfe N320WH - LNC2 - IO-320 - Kansas City (IXD) ------_=_NextPart_001_01C34AF7.93A76494 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Message
