After an exhaustive search I found some nice neoprene like door seal material at Home Depot.

Yes that's right, Home Depot!

I had around 100 samples from various places like Lancair, AC Spruce, Wicks ,several automotive suppliers and a seal manufacturer.
None of these seem to work as well as the the stuff I found in the local hardware store.

It is hollow and white and very soft and can be purchased for around $6.
I do not recall the brand name but it comes in a 18' roll and has 2 adhesive seals side by side that can be used together or can be peeled apart for a narrow single seal.

I saw a similar material used to seal the door on the Diamond Star ( new 4 place katana) aircraft.

If this stuff is the wrong dimension I believe the material is the "stuff" to use.
It would be nice if it could be found in different sizes to accommodate everyone's application.

I will look at the Mfg tonight and call them to see if there are other sizes and lengths available.
