I want to place the Frantz Pro AOA display as close to the pilot's forward looking out the window view (eg. take offs and landings). The best place was up in the top center annunciator display area but it wouldn't fit and I didn't want to make the space any larger. Right next to the SFS was second choice. I'm also trying to make sure the right seat isn't too much of a second class piloting position. Placing one on both sides ensures that this critical display is closer to the pilot's forward looking view field no matter which seat he/she is flying from. I also like the symmetry of it... I understand that the SFS system calculates an AOA analytically (measured flight attitude and velocity vector difference -- GPS and AHRS) though I think Jim Frantz's system is more accurate and faster to respond.
