I know its after the fact now, but this morning (5-6a.m. CST) the story
of Eric Lindbergh's Atlantic crossing in a Lancair Columbia 300 was aired
on the History Channel. I caught it by accident, but enjoyed
watching it. Just thought that I would mention it so that you can
check the TV listings for a replay. Oddly enough, it was listed
under the category of "Classroom". Here's the writeup. --

Lindbergh Flies Again, Pt. 2
The 1927 flights of the Spirit of St. Louis marked the beginning of the
modern age of air travel, and after Charles Lindbergh's flight,
everything changed for both the pilot and the planet. 75 years later, a
solo transatlantic flight in a small plane is still considered the Mount
Everest climb of flying. Erik Lindbergh's story is not only one of
recreating his grandfather Charles Lindbergh's mythic accomplishment, but
also one of courage and tenacity. TV G
