He has given me the permission to announce that as of May 1 Kirk has an independent company that is the world wide Chelton Sierra Flight System wholesale representative for the experimental dealers and customers. He will be adding other products but this is good news for the SFS customers. He will be supporting all dealers and there customers to get all questions answered and any support that the systems need. Kirk met with me Sat. morning in Bend, OR to calibrate my SFS's newly installed AHARS, a Crossbow 500. It presently requires a little different calibration process that only Kirk can do. He turned on my new Stormscope and interfaced it with the SFS. My TruTrak yaw servo was installed but we need to programed it and flight tested all the above. The new AHARS is the one used in the Certified Chelton Flightlogic units and is so accurate and stable that I now need to adjust my mag. compass to the SFS, and without a compass rose, which is less accurate. Kirk was very important to me when picking out all my panel needs and it turns out that he was right on everything. While he won't be selling direct to the end user he will be available for all of us that are sometimes overwhelmed by the rate of change in Avionics and just how to make those decisions. Send him an email of congratulations or just to ask questions. He is very busy setting things up so that he can be of even more value to us, the end customer. Lancair Avionics is left with a very strong group of people with the most experience in building panels for the Lancair aircraft. I and Kirk will still need all the folks at Lancair on into the future. (Thanks, Gary and Jon for fixing my MX 20). Good luck to all, Jim Hergert N6XE, "An Sex Y" L4P --part1_13.1c2be350.2be6cdb3_boundary Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable A big congratulations is due Kirk Ham= mersmith and his new company,
