C= raig,

Attached=20 you will find photographs of the flap speed controller using the =
Grainger=20 two way valve. The valve is attached to the cylinder with two nipples =
and=20 an elbow.  It comes out of the valve with a 90 degree fitting for = the=20 hose
attachment. Notice the clamp around the two hoses.  This = stabilizers the valve
mechanism and lessens any fatigue to the = brass=20 fittings.  A slot is made in
the top of the valve to = accommodate a=20 small screwdriver.  The seat has a hole
just over this valve = so that=20 a thin screwdriver can reach the valve stem.
  This is how = the=20 adjustment is made.  A screw fitting is placed in the hole
in =
the=20 seat to maintain cabin pressure.

Make sure that the valve is = connected=20 to the cylinder with the adjustable part
in line with the flap up=20 movement. Any desired up speed can be obtained
without any effect = on the=20 down speed.

You may be interested in the flap indicator = set-up.  A=20 right angle support is
bolted to the flap arm, a wire runs from = the top of=20 this arm to the flap
indicator.  The position of this right = angle arm=20 should allow the flap
indicator to fully travel with movement of = the=20 flaps.

Good luck with your project.  Hope to join you in = the air=20 soon.
