Queue-Tip,

1. Is this a "normal" certified engine or was it experimented on?

The usual place for a temperature sensor is in the oil filter adapter area.  The usual place for oil pressure is at the seven or eight oclock position from the right upper engine mount and fairly close by.  Note that the oil temp and pressure will be different than the engine standards if unusual locations are used.

2.  Is the governor forward mounted or at the lower rear of the accessory case with an oil transfer line from the right forward case back to the gov?

3.  Why not contact the builder and ask about the unusual setup?  Perhaps this engine was set up with some oil channel plugged.

4.  Go back to the way it was?  I f the Oil pressure was really outrageously high, you would have been using oil (or see it weeping from the case) and maybe even blowing the crank seals.

Good Luck!
