I am building a Legacy and thinking of having one rebuilt and stripping the turbo off. My call to Continental tech support was less than helpful. "they look different." Does the 550C have lower compression? Are the block and engine mounts common? Does anyone know a shop which could be helpful? Would the turbo fit in the cowling?
