The weather was promising to be ugly on Saturday, so Peter worked me into his busy schedule Friday afternoon to do some training flights and ground familiarization of the Sierra Flight Sys. Thanks Peter. Also, thanks go to Kirk for showing me the un-fallibility of the X-Bow AHRS. Looks like they've got it together. On the first and only training flight on Friday we spent most of the time trouble shooting an erroneous manifold pressure reading and fuel flow readings. After landing and taxiing up at 4:45, Mark Menke literally did an inverted head first dive under the panel to see what was wrong (remember - this was late on Friday afternoon!!!). He, sometime that evening, found the problem, fixed it, and then returned 409L back to service so I could use it that next day. Thank you Mark. The weather cooperated on Saturday, clearing enough to do the extra training that I wanted to accomplish (mostly engine out work). Many thanks to Al Campbell who did the training - excellent pilot, great attitude, and a joy to fly with. Every time that I'm at the factory, I'm impressed with the effort, enthusiasm, and fun that the men and women of Lancair have. The new owner has the best of resources in the industry - the people. Thanks to all for the good experience over the last weekend. Hal Woodruff N81VP
