Glasair (one 's' please) is not out of business. Stoddard-Hamilton was sold to
New Glasair LLC and they are alive and kicking, selling airplanes, and

I can
understand Lance's business model. He had to keep designing new models to
attract and, using his own words, "Pick the low hanging fruit.". Slap it
together, sell what you can, move on. Does that make it a bad airplane. No it
doesn't. It just means that Lancair is only going to devote those resources
necessary to keep the airplane marketable.

Glassair did just about what you espouse.
Now they're out of business. Because of Lance's keen sense of what the market
desired, he made Lancair very successful. Because of this Lancair was there
for the completion of your kit, minor problem with the books notwithstanding.
