Maybe it is of interest to other flyers and to the builders working away out there. I went out today to try and duplicate your condition of flight to see what IAS I could come up with. I recorded: 8000 msl, 2500 RPM, 23.25 MAP, 181 KIAS/208.15 MPH, 8 deg.C, a gross weight of about 1435 lbs. I made a steady state run of five minutes to record numbers, holding altitude to +/- 20 ft. I have a Lycoming IO-320, Hartzell CSP. Interestingly enough, I made a return run for five minutes at 2350 RPM, the MAP was 23.5 (don't know why it is more at less RPM) and the IAS was 179 Kts.
