X-Original-To: lml@lancaironline.net MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: AOL 7.0 for Windows US sub 10634 >From the homebuilder newsgroup: Two men were killed on the 20/12/02 near Geelong after their Lancair IV nosed dived from 4000ft. The aircraft was one of the finest examples of its type in Australia powered by the Walter turboprop. It was also fully fitted with glass cockpit. The two men that were killed were extremely experienced men. The pilot was a Naval officer of 42 years who also has been the CO of Naval air base at Nowra. It is not known what caused the crash but it is believed the aircraft was on a test flight. Robert, The only other thing I heard was that it had a 601D engine. This is the first Turbine lost. I think the pressurization comes off differently than the E, which is the recommend one for the P model. Jim Hergert N6XE, "An Sex Y" L4P
