Its proud Dad was also awarded a FAA Repairmans Certificate. N499R weighed in at 2162 lbs including seats but without paint or upholstery. Not too bad considering the extra weight of the A/C compressor, condenser, drier, hoses, and evaporator. First flight will occur after I go back and add more weight to the left elevator instead of using the Lancair balancing kit for the elevators.
