Thanks to all the responses on this subject.
Personally, when flying into and out off non-towered airports, I simply identify myself as Lancair (i.e. Lancair entering left downwind, etc.). When talking to ATC, I initially say, "ABC Approach, Experimental Lancair 360ZR, blah, blah, blah..." then I drop the "experimental" on further communications. However, I've been mistaken for a Piper Lance more than a few times... (wow, that's a fast Piper Lance!!).
