Hi Don,

Thanks for your message to the group and for including me in your "look
forward to reading" list.  The LML is a terrific resource for all of us and
I think all agree it is best if everyone is careful to keep a polite and
respectful tone.  

One challenge we all have is that it can be difficult to accurately convey
tone with this medium.  I'm pretty sure that many things that are written in
the LML that seem a bit "edgy" would be fine if you could just hear the
person who wrote it saying it.  To help me read things with a friendly tone,
I've even setup my email to display all of the "plain text" messages I
receive (mostly LML) in the friendliest font I know of -- Comic Sans MS, 10
pt., and blue in color.  

I also just remind myself that we're all "airplane people" and that that
common passion alone bonds us to each other more so than to some of our own
family members.  I think we all just want to help each other build better
airplanes and become better pilots -- so that in spite of the additional
life risk we voluntarily expose ourselves too, we can still die peacefully
from old age...  :)
