I thought to quietly slip away, but my smarter and more reasonable
wife convinced me I really should at least mention this on the list
and/or complain to the moderator(s).  The moderator is really the
only one who can FORCE us to "play nice", but making the list
members a little more aware might help.  Besides, even though the
moderator is the only possible enforcer the push to do something
(anything) must come from the list.  It's up to you.

Paul,

Wellllll.... You are right on. I am an old time builder, having completed my ES in 1999 and have helped many others in building their aircraft. I do not benefit from what is posted here but I can contribute with my knowledge and experience. I originally started with Rick Argente on the old Compuserve thing.

I refuse to pay for subscription to this list. I am only here to contribute.  I find it strange that I keep getting "dumped" from the list and have to re-subsrcibe and be "dumped" again after a very short period of time. I guess it is more inportant that I pay than contribute.

[Bob, first of all, your getting "dumped" off the LML has nothing whatsoever to do with whether you (or anyone else, for that matter) contribute financially to its management and upkeep.  That is an automated function of the listserver software, and it happens when your ISP starts bouncing your LML email back to us... after 5 bounces the listserver assumes that your address is no longer in service and so removes your address from the subscription rolls.  Most times the bounces are caused by email boxes that "filled up" and the owner hasn't emptied it out over some period of time.  If this is the case for you, there are a couple possible solutions... if you can't get your email for extended periods and your ISP has set you an unreasonably low message count, you might want to contact them and ask that your quota be raised.  The other option is to switch to the digest mode and only receive a single LML post each day... that will cut down on a lot of traffic into your box if you're now in the feed mode.
