Goodyears will NOT necessarily replace McCreary tires. They are more "square
shouldered" (the tread is flatter) and will require slightly more clearance
at the top of the wheel well, around the perimeter of the gear door flange,
and between the tire and the aft, outboard portion of the gear door as the
tire passes it on it's way in or out of the well.

I'm currently flying on the original McCreary tires that came with my IV-P
kit, but realize they're not the best.  My problem is that I have very
close clearance in my wheel wells.  To anyone who is flying with Michelin
or Goodyear tires - are they the same size and profile as the McCrearys or
are they larger or fatter?  Thanks for any info (please specify make AND
model of tires.)
