Dear Members of the Lancair Community,

It is with much sadness and regret that I announce that Engine Power
Systems, LLC ceased operations today, November 2, 2002.  On behalf of the
many individuals who worked so hard to bring a truly innovative engine
technology to market, I offer my sincere thanks.  Many thanks also to the
many members of the list who in the past placed postings of support for the
company's efforts.  The company gave it a good try but with 9/11, the
economy, turbines, the many negative comments from many sources concerning
the engine technology, and most recently the Duke accident, the company can
no longer continue.
