Seemed like a natural to me so I employed 2 60lb force gas springs with rod end bearings (shortened the shank of the bearings) to provide an even force on both sides of the O/C mechanism. The bearings really make extension and retraction smooth with no binding. Not sure which brand gas springs I used (I'm at work) but I found a plethora on the internet. -Ed Sikora LC235 (someday)
