Group,
In September as part of a very enjoyable trip to Reno for the National Air
Races, we spent an afternoon at the Truckee Airport. It so happened they
had a fly in scheduled for that day. There were a significant number of
aircraft there that day including some who had flown in for the air races.
There were several Lancairs there including a L-IV, which is the reason for
this posting. I don't recall the N number, but it was a very nice airplane.
It had some interesting aileron and elevator gap seals that appeared to be
made from teflon strips. Does anyone out there know a source for this
material? Any data out there on speed/handling improvements with gap seals?
